Our Vision

Let children grow up with confidence, composure, and dignity.

Our Mission

Promoting competency education, advancing educational equity, and driving social progress through education.

Our approaches

Adream aim to address the uneven distribution of educational resources by building Adream Centers, developing Adream courses, and provide local teachers with professional trainings.
To address the problem of uneven distribution of educational resources in remote areas. Adream started to solve this problem by building a library for a rural school in 2008. We named it Adream Center.
We worked with professors from prestigious universities to develop courses to make the best use of space. Until now, we have developed 38 Adream courses, in empowering girls, art, career development, etc.
After we built the Adream Center and designed Adream courses, we also set up a teachers’ academy to train teachers and principle the value of competency education.

Goals

Adream makes charitable services more efficient!

We hope to disseminate our educational philosophy through our highly replicable projects and services. For this aim, we adopt proven business and financial management technologies and tools to improve the efficiency of our foundation. We strive to establish an operating model that is easy for all parties to navigate, while being capable of addressing complex issues. We welcome internal and external criticism and feedback.
We document all project results and the feedback we receive from teachers, schools, donors, experts, and volunteers, and make adjustments to our projects, services, and internal management procedures accordingly. We believe this process of introspection and self-reform will encourage China’s charitable industry to become more and more professional and accountable – after all, a 1% increase in efficiency on the systemic level is inherently more beneficial than a 1% increase on the individual level.
By 2018, we expect to have 3319 Adream Centers serving 3.6 million children, or 2% of the student population in grades 1-9 in China. This figure is even higher (5-7% of students) in China’s Midwest regions, where most of our projects and services are concentrated. We hope that our work on the local and regional levels will raise public awareness of our projects and services, and eventually pave the way for large-scale reforms in China’s education system.

Our Guiding Principles

1.Assist those who are self-reliant
Here at Adream, we do not want to create an organization based on pity. Therefore, we want to focus on helping individuals with an optimistic and hardworking mindset, empowering them to transform their own lives.
2.Foster effective and transparent philanthropy
To improve transparency and efficiency in the philanthropic sector, Adream Adream integrates comprehensive business management practices into our daily operations.
3.Practice sustainable philanthropy
We want to create a philanthropy model based not just on a one-off donation, but on a stress-free long-term engagement in a non-self-exploiting approach.
